Were there any negative aspects of Socialed Medicine?

One of the negative aspects of Peru's socialized medicine was the lack of sufficent medications. Medications were provided through the socialized system's clinics and hospitals at a lower cost to the patient, but when there was not enough they would have to go to the pharmacy and pay a higher price.
